Northington Partners is a leading independent investment bank and corporate advisory business, servicing a diverse client base from offices in Auckland and Christchurch. Our summer internship programme:

The programme will be run up to twelve weeks during the university summer period, based in our Auckland office. You will be assigned to live client work across investment banking, corporate finance, and private capital management, reporting directly to one of our Directors.

Daily tasks and responsibilities:

• Financial modelling support
• Research and analysis
• Assist with drafting information memoranda, valuation reports, and pitch material
• Transaction execution support
• General administrative tasks and note-taking

Who we are looking for:

• Ideally, you’ll be in your penultimate year of study for a degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, law, or a related commercial discipline
• A keen eye for detail and analytical nous
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong work ethic and initiative
• While academic track record is taken into consideration, we value a genuine hunger to learn and curiosity about investment banking and how businesses are built, bought and sold

In addition to the above, we will consider non-technical aspects and attributes that candidates can add to the role.
